Five documents are categorized under this section. Two of these are included simply because they mention species from the Santa Marta Region. One of them reports on three species of Porifera (sp.1-3) located in the northern part of the main water body of the CGSM (Palacios, J., 1978); not included in total species number. Reyes (unpublished), as cited by Campos et al. (2004, Table 5.1), recorded Lissodendoryx isodictyalis in 1992 at Boquería, within the CGSM. This remains the only species documented from the CGSM lagoon complex. In the chapter ‘Catálogo de esponjas del Banco de las Ánimas’ from Rocío et al. (2020), Pineda-Munive and Zea list 34 species of Porifera found in the mentioned reef within the Gulf of Salamanca, part of the CGSM Ecoregion (Tab. 03).
