2 orders, 2 families, 2 genera, 2 species
Sampling periods: November 1994 to October 1996, Nov 1999 to March 2000, Sep 1999 to Feb 2000
Among the documents categorized under this section, the only one that, based on its title, should have contained a species list (Blanco & Fontanilla, 1973) – was unfortunately unavailable at the time of writing. Two other studies focus on Junonia evarete and its interactions with mangroves: Campos Chinchilla (2000) conducted field research from November 1999 to March 2000, while Elster et al. (1999) carried out field studies from November 1994 to October 1996. Additionally, Nazarova et al. (2013) explored the biological aspects of chironomid larvae, with samples taken along Caño Clarín from September 1999 to February 2000. Despite the likelihood of numerous insect species inhabiting the CGSM ecoregion, only two species have been documented to date (see Table Insecta).
