Range Description: This species has an extensive range that includes Panama, Trinidad, and lowland areas in northern and central South America southward to Peru, northern Bolivia, and Brazil. In Panama, it has been recorded occasionally over the past 20 years, but there is only one recent record (R. Ibanez pers. comm. 2012). The elevational range is 0-850 m asl (Jaramillo et al. 2010).
